Amy Fireeater Twisted Torpedo

Studio 57, New York
January 31, 1994 SR9411

Costume
Topless and black see-through torpedo maillot (or strapped g-string). Choker necklace.

   TMLBA. Armpits.

Actions
The scars on Amy's body are a record of her profession--a street performer fireeater. Amy stands (1) and presses her palms together (2). Closeups of her torso (3), top (4, 5), see-through briefs (6), and the complexities of her backside threading (7). You can see the strings cross on her right side (8, 9), and how they don't on her left side (10, 11, 12).

Commentary
These pictures illustrate a rather unusual bikini silhouette that is not trivially classified as a g-string or a torpedo. Note that on her left side the flows from the front of the g-string around to the center back, but then it ascends up and around the front, cross her chest, flows around the back of the neck before descending, criss-crossing itself between the breasts, and descending around the back, criss-crossing itself again on the right side before returning to the front right. It thus makes a complete loop. It's intention is clearly not a simple g-string, for the string is too long and continuous (there is no tie). Minus the two criss-crosses the suit could be worn as a string torpedo, its most natural origin. But the threading also suggests that the torpedo, abet twisted and turned, lends itself to several convolutions.
