"I made this bikini myself while I was working a dance gig in Vegas two years ago. The dance director complained to us girls that we were getting tan lines and if we wanted to suntan then our butts needed to get the same exposure as our legs (2). So I made this for me and suits like this in different colors for the other girls in the show (3). This was years before anybody wore a tanga in public (4), so the dance director suggested an obscure part of the casino pool and we all tanned there so no one would bother us." Commentary Ridley's design combines the scoop front of the v-kini with the high-waisted theme on the back. "My suit is a bit smaller than the blue bandeau with the flaps (RD8731)," she observes coyly. And it is smaller than the exercise suit also (RD89A0).
