   Longsleeve white blouse and dress over gray stockings and shoes. Red garter. This is not exactly a bathing dress shortsleeve bloomerless but it is a similar silhouette.

Commentary
   A description of this card also comes [probably] from an auction [of a different card' on ebay, "Victorian Bathing Suit Rockaway Beach NY Postcard 1908. Great early postcard showing a woman in Victorian dress bathing swimming at Rockaway Beach NY. The woman in the foreground still has on her blue stockings! Two young girls behind her have the hem of the dresses held up and one still has on her feather trimmed hat. In the background are men in long striped bathing costumes playing beach volleyball."
   The divided back card has this message, "Dear Anna - the water is fine down here. I was in Bathing for over two hours. Lillian"
