Young man in blue pantaloon unitard. Bare face and arms. Actions Two young ladies play leapfrog while another runs behind and a young lad runs to the side (1). Sailboats and a steamer are seen in the water beyond. Commentary These costumes are pure period, including the male's costume. Possibly the scene depicts the great lake beyond, and not an ocean view. Serious bikini scientists will observe the coexistence of the bloomered and bloomerless bathing dress shortsleeved. Source Postcard, purchased Syracuse, NY, November 2001 at Antique Show.
