Chicago le. 1906 BP0610 Costume Brown with yellow trim bathing dress shortsleeved bloomered, hose, hat, shoes. T. Offshoulder. Bare face and arms. Actions This young lass--properly attired--wrings the water out of her bathing dress as she leans over and looks at you (1). This coy little action shows the possibilities of the bathing dress. Commentary It is difficult to tell if this is illustration, photography, or a combination of the two. The background may well be a painted set and the dripping water may be real or virtual. This silhouette is established before 1900. Source Postcard contains notice, "Copyright 1906 G.
