Actions Two women and two men emerge from a pickup truck and walk the edge of the lookout over Boulder Dam. Both wear shirt and bikini bottoms; one of the bottoms covers the behind partially, the other covers it not at all (1). People are not used to seeing bikinis this far from "the pool," let alone bikini bottoms this small in public, and the spectators watch from behind as the subjects lean over the edge to look down (2). A Japanese tourist videotapes the entire proceedings, and several people take snapshots. Commentary This is the first recorded tanga in pubic in US in the Bikini Science collection, and it anticipates the early adoptors who will play out in the late 1980s. The migration of bikinis far from their normal venue is sometimes called High Beach, and this is very High Beach indeed. The sleeveless blouse helps to provide coverage....
