Mermaid Parade, Coney Island, NY June 1996 MP9608 Costume Green squish ball pasties and green dress. Necklace, bracelets, earrings. Navel ring. Tattoos on left arm and shoulder back. TM. N-2. Actions A mermaid prepares for this year's annual Mermaid Parade (1). She has tattoos on her arms (2) and back (3), and squishballs taped onto her nipples (4). You can see these more clearly when she leans over (5), as the breast is allowed to move freely (6). She sprinkles glitter on herself (7) and contemplates a portrait (8). Commentary Mermaids have tails, and their wear either modified bikini tops, pasties, or go topless (often with body paint). This year pasties emerge in force (MP9641). Like last year (MP9568), navel rings remain a special badge. Source Wildlife. 8 pictures. |
