Shirt Defined A shirt is a garment for the top of the body with a collar, sleeves of various lengths, and a front closing. Topologically it has four edges, and is governed by a neckline, armhole, and cutoff line. The Origins of the Shirt J. C. Flugel attributes the shirt as a Mongolian development, developed for warmth in very northern climates of planet Earth (see Primitive Costumes). |
