Actions Great poses from of pinup postcard bathing beauty series of the roaring twenties flapper era. Legs and bare arms for all, yet most keep their hats and shoes on. Shot in the studio, and colored by hand. #624 displays armpits and a split leg (1). #1110 wears a maillot with two tones (2).#1113 has silk ties (3). #1417 appears to be a lattice-side (4) as is #1420 (5). #1444 has a belted front and an unusual blue (6). #1497 sports more cleavage than normal (7). #2121 is complete with a hair ribbon, flushed cheeks, fancy details, a narrow shoulder strap, a mysterious crotch, and look at those shoes (8)! #2122 wears a black maillot with purple and white trim...and has bare feet (9)! #2447 wears a robe and is demure...to a man (10). #2480 reclines with her parasol behind her and round dots on her hand-tinted maillot (11). #2663 combines a lattice side with a lattice shoulder strap (12). #3003 combines a looser look with a belt, necklace and bathing cap (13); like #3005 it has a more photographic background (14). #3006 wears a similar costume, and plays with her open parasol. The reflection of her shoe might be a mirror (15). Commentary The PC Paris gals wear similar maillots to their crosstown competitors, but have a richness of detail and depth of expression not seen elsewhere.
